A coverlet of 18th century French imberline

Consisting of five joined widths, each with a design of two broad green stripes flanked by narrow yellow and green bands on a red ground. The silk warp threads in a satin weave over linen weft threads. Each width 51cm across.

With imperfections and repairs.

270cm (106¼”) long and 255cm (100⅜”) wide.
