A fine 18th century needlework panel

English, circa 1730-1750

Worked in silk and wool with an urn of flowers against an umber ground. With a mahogany frame and supported as a pole screen on an 18th century and later turned mahogany pole with a ball-knop and flower carved and scrolling tripod base.

The panel, including the frame, 39.2cm (15⅜”) high and 30.1cm (11⅞”) wide.

The pole 120.7cm (47½”) tall.
